Technical Purchasing Manager - Advanced Electronics (m/f/d)

Develop and oversee the implementation of Purchase strategies, which underpin supplier-sourcing recommendations for Advanced Engineering Electronic projects.

Purchasing research for key advanced and commodities/products for Electronic Projects.

Implement the Purchase strategies for Global Commodities that underpin supplier-sourcing recommendations for a nominated commodity.

Execute price negotiation with suppliers for current and future business, aiming the best commercial conditions. (Global commodities)

Sourcing decision process for ECU, displays, cameras, compile data, check pros cons, organize final sourcing decisions

Work with Operation Company to close the supplier nominations, execute contract and agreement on General Terms and Condition with each region for the commodity suppliers.

Source profiling and setup of an electronics database structure and process.
-
Responsible for FEP data entry for displays, cameras and ECU, for all Opcos quoting these commodities.

Develop and maintain cost models of Displays, ECU, and Cameras.
-
Responsible for fast track cost reductions as well as Design to cost activities.
-
Follow the SDS process together with local purchasing team and secure the outputs required from purchasing department.

Assist in the relevant global Supplier Development process to ensure quality and competitiveness.

Perform Make vs Buy analysis as required together with the support of all group companies.

Responsible to submit and analyze Request for Quote for Electronic components (Displays, ECU, cameras), including, where appropriate, production tooling, and equipment.

Provide input into the selection of suppliers and components, and maintain database for basic electronic assemblies, displays and cameras.

Seek for new potential suppliers for displays, cameras and ECU.

Keep Raw material cost and trend tracking, as well as material allocation and obsolesce.

Execute monthly global report of its commodities explaining YTD results, spend analysis, forecast spend and ppv Develop and follow actions plan with regions to achieve the goals.

Maintain a technology roadmap considering product life cycles and marketability of electronic components.

Local and international travel will be required as deemed necessary by the organization to achieve a better performance.

All other duties as required to support local, regional, global Purchasing and operating group companies’ activities.
Your Profile:
-
Minimum three years professional experience in electronics development.
-
Exposure to Supplier Development principles.
-
Experience in design to cost processes.
-
Knowledgeable in Automotive quality systems and requirements (i.e. TS16949).
-
Working knowledge to read, analyze and interpret Technical component drawings.
-
Ability to write reports and business correspondence for Senior Management review.

Ability to act and behave strategically and in doing so contribute meaningfully to strategic business discussion and development.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Management.

Technician or Graduate Engineer (FH) in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electronic Hardware development.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Excellent verbal and written English
