The project deals with data privacy requirements and particularly with the “right to be forgotten” (deletion of expired data). To support the deletion process across the Clients application landscape, a 3rd party software was implemented but need so be replaced with an inhouse-developed solution.

Responsible for the development of the new so-called Deletion Orchestration Engine (DOE) 2.0. The new solution is an application that receives various deletion request from the primary applications and requests deletions of respective record in secondary applications. The data from the primary application is in several secondary applications and a deletion chain needs to be created to ensure that the data is deleted in all secondary applications and finally in the primary application. Various checks in the process are to be ensured.

  • Java: internals, design patterns, testing, garbage collection, JVM tuning

  • Kubernetes: deployments, replicasets, sidecars, secrets, configmaps, volumemounts
  • Azure: general knowledge, AKS, vnets
  • Terraform: being able to understand current codebase and reuse patterns to make the new target infrastructure
